The Hatteras Village Waterfowl Festival will returns for 2023 with some of our favorite events and vendors as well as some new and exciting additions! This festival, in the beautiful village of Hatteras, celebrates the diverse waterfowl resource native to the island. It begins with an amazing "Fin, Feather and Bourbon" social on Friday evening, featuring small plates and local seafood. North Carolina bourbon is poured along with a selection of wines that pair with the plates. During the day on Saturday, you will find carvers, artists, vendors and many demonstrations such as a live raptor show, historical bus tours of the village, a bird watching cruise, an interactive duck exhibit and much, much more. At the end of the day, join us for live music and a social hour before dinner is served. Tickets are available for just the day on Saturday or you may purchase GOLD Tickets that grant access to all events. See our EVENT AND TICKETS page for more information and new events and activities as they are added to the 2023 line up!

Featured Activities

Hawk Manor Falconry

Hawk Manor Falconry makes its exciting return to the festival! Attendees will have an interactive experience with birds of prey, learn the history of falconry and also enjoy flight demonstrations and a simulated "hunt". These amazing birds and handlers "wowed" the crowd in 2020 and surely the encore performance is not to be missed!

Saltair Images Art Studio

Local legendary artist, Trish Dempsey, will again be guiding attendees through painting their very own waterfowl painting at her studie, Saltair Images. Don't fret, no talent required! This events not available with Day Pass Tickets.

Fin, Feather and Bourbon Social

Our festival will again kick off Friday evening with our unique and exciting food event, theme to be determined! A silent auction of art and items from vendors will be available, with local, live music joining us for this second annual event.
